The Earlham Word is a student organization of Earlham College, operating under the Earlham Student Government (ESG). The Earlham Word is editorially independent but partially financially dependent on funds received from the ESG. As with any newspaper, we strive to fairly scrutinize all newsworthy aspects of our environment, including our primary source of funds.

Affiliation to Earlham College

The Earlham Word’s website is not an official publication of Earlham College, and should not be misconstrued as an official public relations outlet, media outlet or point-of-sale for advertising purposes. The Word’s policy is to make sure that online advertisers are fully aware of the Word’s nonofficial status.

This site was designed as an extension of the weekly hard-copy version of The Earlham Word, and the online masthead is an adaptation of the traditional print masthead. Layered image components of the masthead may be the intellectual property of Earlham College and subject to the College’s copyright policy, not The Earlham Word’s license as described below.
